Responsible Gaming — Play Smart, Stay in Control

cricks is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable gambling environment for all players in Bangladesh. Our responsible gaming programme gives you the tools, information, and support you need to keep gambling fun — and to step back when it stops being so.

18+ Only Deposit Limits Session Time Controls Self-Exclusion Available

Important Notice: Gambling is intended for entertainment only and is not a reliable way to make money. Only gamble with funds you can afford to lose. If gambling is causing you financial, emotional, or personal difficulties, please use the tools and resources described on this page or contact our support team immediately at [email protected]. Help is always available.

Your Protection Toolkit

Every registered cricks player has access to the following responsible gaming tools directly from their account dashboard after completing a cricks login. These tools are free, effective, and take immediate effect when activated.

Instant

Deposit Limits

Set a daily, weekly, or monthly cap on the total amount you can deposit to your cricks account. Reductions take effect immediately. Increases require a 24-hour cooling-off period before activation to prevent impulsive decisions during a session.

Instant

Session Time Limits

Define the maximum duration of a single gambling session on cricks. When your limit is reached, you will receive an on-screen reminder and be automatically logged out. This tool helps you keep track of time spent on the platform and avoid extended unplanned sessions.

Instant

Cool-Off Periods

Take a short, structured break from gambling without fully closing your cricks account. Cool-off options are available for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During a cool-off, you cannot deposit, place wagers, or receive promotional communications from cricks.

Up to 5 Years

Self-Exclusion

Request a formal self-exclusion from cricks for a minimum of 6 months up to a maximum of 5 years. Self-exclusion is irreversible for its full duration and blocks all account access, deposits, and marketing communications. Request via [email protected] at any time.

Always On

Reality Checks

Enable periodic on-screen reminders that display how long you have been playing and the net result of your current session in BDT. Reality checks are a proven tool for maintaining awareness and preventing the loss of track of time during longer play sessions.

On Request

Activity History

Request a full report of your account activity — including deposits, withdrawals, wagers, and session durations — for any date range. Reviewing your activity history can help you make informed decisions about your gambling habits and identify patterns you may want to address.

1. Our Commitment to Safe Play

At cricks, responsible gaming is not a compliance checkbox — it is a core part of how we operate. We believe that gambling should always be an entertaining activity enjoyed within personal limits — never a source of financial stress, emotional harm, or family conflict. The cricks platform is built with player wellbeing in mind at every level, from the account registration process through to the tools available after every cricks login session.

We take a proactive approach to responsible gaming. Our systems monitor account activity for patterns that may indicate problem gambling behaviour, such as rapidly increasing deposit frequency, extended unbroken session times, or repeated attempts to reverse withdrawal requests. Where these patterns are detected, our responsible gaming team may reach out to the affected player directly to offer support and discuss available tools — not to judge, but to help.

cricks operates on a foundation of transparency. We will never hide the odds of our games, obscure withdrawal processes, or deploy manipulative design patterns to keep players on the platform longer than they wish to be. Every player on cricks deserves a clear, honest, and controllable gambling experience.

Our Pledge: cricks will never pressure a player to increase their deposit limits, extend their session times, or cancel a self-exclusion request. If any member of the cricks team does so, please report it immediately to [email protected] — this is a serious breach of our responsible gaming policy.

2. 18+ Age Restriction Policy

18+

The cricks platform is strictly for adults aged 18 years and above. Gambling by individuals under the age of 18 is prohibited without exception. This applies to all products and services available on cricks, including casino games, cricket betting, crash games such as Rise of Apollo, and any other wagering activity.

We treat age verification as a non-negotiable element of the registration process. All new cricks accounts are subject to Know Your Customer (KYC) checks, which include verification of the player's date of birth using a government-issued identity document such as a National ID card (NID) or passport.

Age Verification Process

  • All players must confirm they are aged 18 or above during account registration.
  • KYC identity verification is required before a player's first withdrawal and may be requested at any time for compliance purposes.
  • Accounts where age verification cannot be completed will be suspended until valid documentation is provided.
  • Any account found to belong to a player under 18 will be permanently closed and all funds returned to the payment method used for deposit, after the fulfilment of mandatory checks.
  • Players who knowingly allow a minor to access their cricks account will have their account permanently terminated.

Why We Enforce This Strictly

Exposure to gambling at a young age significantly increases the statistical risk of developing problem gambling behaviours in adulthood. Protecting young people from gambling harm is a responsibility that cricks takes seriously, and we actively co-operate with any relevant authorities to ensure our platform remains inaccessible to underage individuals.

3. Responsible Gaming Tools

The six player protection tools introduced above — deposit limits, session time limits, cool-off periods, self-exclusion, reality checks, and activity history — are all accessible through your cricks account settings after completing a cricks login. Here is how to activate each one and what to expect.

How to Set Deposit Limits

  1. Log in to your cricks account using the cricks Login page.
  2. Navigate to Account Settings and select the "Responsible Gaming" tab.
  3. Select "Deposit Limits" and choose a daily, weekly, or monthly interval.
  4. Enter your desired limit in BDT (e.g., ৳5,000 per day or ৳20,000 per month).
  5. Confirm your selection. The limit takes effect immediately.

To reduce an existing deposit limit, the change takes effect immediately. To increase a limit, a mandatory 24-hour waiting period applies, during which you may reconsider the request. If you do not cancel the increase request within 24 hours, it will be applied automatically.

How to Enable Reality Checks

Within the same "Responsible Gaming" tab in your account settings, select "Reality Checks" and choose your preferred reminder interval — every 30 minutes, every hour, or every 2 hours. The reality check pop-up will appear at your chosen interval, displaying your current session duration and net wagering result in BDT. You must actively dismiss the pop-up to continue playing, ensuring you consciously acknowledge the information.

How to Request a Cool-Off Period

Select "Cool-Off / Take a Break" in your responsible gaming settings and choose a duration: 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. The cool-off activates immediately upon confirmation. During the cool-off, your account will be inaccessible for deposits and wagering. You may still log in to request a withdrawal of any remaining balance. All promotional emails and bonus notifications are suspended for the duration of the cool-off.

Need Help Activating a Tool? If you have difficulty accessing or activating any responsible gaming tool through your account settings, contact our support team at [email protected] and a team member will assist you — at no cost and without any pressure to continue playing.

4. Self-Exclusion Programme

Self-exclusion is the strongest player protection tool available on cricks. It is designed for players who feel that gambling is negatively impacting their life and who want to prevent themselves from accessing the platform for an extended period. Unlike a cool-off period, self-exclusion is a formal commitment and cannot be reversed until the chosen exclusion period has fully elapsed.

How to Request Self-Exclusion

  1. Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Self-Exclusion Request".
  2. Include your registered cricks username and the exclusion duration you are requesting (minimum 6 months, maximum 5 years).
  3. Our team will confirm receipt within 24 hours and activate the exclusion on your account within a further 24 hours of confirmation.
  4. You will receive a written confirmation email once the self-exclusion is active.

What Happens During Self-Exclusion

  • Your cricks account is locked. You cannot log in, deposit, or place any wagers for the entire exclusion period.
  • Any remaining account balance will be available for withdrawal — contact [email protected] to request this and provide a verified payment method.
  • All promotional and marketing communications from cricks are suspended for the duration of the exclusion.
  • You will not be able to create a new cricks account during the exclusion period. Any new accounts registered under the same identity will be identified and closed.
  • At the end of the exclusion period, you must actively contact [email protected] to request account reinstatement — your account will not reactivate automatically.

Extending or Making Exclusion Permanent

If at any point during your self-exclusion period you wish to extend it, or to make it permanent, please email [email protected]. Exclusion extensions are processed immediately. A request to shorten or end a self-exclusion before its scheduled end date will not be processed until the minimum 6-month period has elapsed, and even then, a 7-day cooling-off period applies before reinstatement.

Self-exclusion works best when combined with broader support. We strongly encourage players who self-exclude to also seek guidance from a qualified counsellor or support organisation. Blocking access to one platform is an important first step, but professional support addresses the underlying patterns. See the Support Resources section below for guidance.

5. Recognising Problem Gambling

Problem gambling can develop gradually and is often difficult to recognise from the inside. Many people who develop a problematic relationship with gambling continue to believe they have it under control — a feeling commonly described as being "in the zone" or "on the verge of a big win". Understanding the warning signs is the first step toward addressing the issue.

Common Warning Signs in Your Own Behaviour

  • Spending more money on gambling than you originally planned or can comfortably afford to lose.
  • Borrowing money, selling possessions, or dipping into savings or essential household funds to fund gambling.
  • Feeling irritable, anxious, or restless when you are not able to gamble.
  • Gambling to escape stress, depression, loneliness, or other negative emotions rather than for entertainment.
  • Chasing losses — continuing to gamble after a losing session in an attempt to win the money back.
  • Lying to family members or friends about the amount of time or money spent gambling.
  • Neglecting work, study, family responsibilities, or personal health in order to spend more time gambling.
  • Failed attempts to cut back or stop gambling despite wanting to do so.
  • Experiencing feelings of guilt, shame, or remorse after a gambling session.
  • Increasing the size of bets over time to achieve the same level of excitement as before.

Signs in Someone You Know

If you are concerned about a family member or friend, look out for unexplained financial difficulties, secrecy around their online activity, mood swings linked to winning or losing, or a noticeable withdrawal from social activities. If you recognise these signs in someone close to you, approach the conversation with empathy and without judgment — and encourage them to use the tools and resources described on this page.

Recognising the problem is not a sign of weakness. It is the most important step a person can take, and at cricks, we respect and support every player who reaches that point.

6. Self-Assessment Checklist

Answer the following questions honestly. If you answer "yes" to three or more of these questions, we strongly recommend using one of the responsible gaming tools available on cricks and considering speaking to a professional support service.

Q1 Have you ever spent more time or money gambling on cricks than you originally intended for that session?

Q2 Have you ever gambled with money earmarked for essential expenses such as rent, food, utility bills, or loan repayments?

Q3 Have you ever felt the urge to continue gambling immediately after a losing session in order to recover your losses?

Q4 Have you ever concealed the extent of your gambling activity from a partner, family member, or close friend?

Q5 Have you ever felt anxious, irritable, or low in mood when you were unable to access gambling for a period of time?

Q6 Has gambling ever caused a significant argument with someone close to you, or damaged an important personal or professional relationship?

Q7 Have you ever borrowed money — from friends, family, or a financial institution — specifically to fund gambling activity?

Q8 Have you tried to cut back or stop gambling but found yourself returning to it despite genuinely wanting to stop?

If you answered "yes" to 3 or more questions: Please consider activating the deposit limits, cool-off, or self-exclusion tools in your cricks account settings, and reach out to our support team or a professional helpline. You are not alone, and help is available. Contact [email protected] at any time.

7. Getting Help & Support

cricks's responsible gaming team is available around the clock to assist any player who has concerns about their gambling behaviour. Whether you need help activating a tool, want to discuss self-exclusion, or simply need someone to talk to, our team will respond without judgment and with your wellbeing as the priority.

Contact cricks Responsible Gaming Support

Our dedicated responsible gaming team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Responsible Gaming Help" and a team member will respond within 2 hours. All communications are treated with complete confidentiality.

Professional Support Organisations

For players based in Bangladesh who are experiencing serious gambling-related difficulties, cricks recommends seeking support from qualified mental health professionals or addiction counsellors. The following types of professional support are commonly available in Bangladesh:

  • Licensed Counsellors and Psychologists: Mental health professionals in Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi, and other major cities can provide one-on-one counselling for addiction and compulsive behaviour patterns.
  • National Mental Health Helplines: Bangladesh's national mental health support infrastructure includes hospital-based psychiatric units in Dhaka Medical College, NIMH (National Institute of Mental Health), and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, among others.
  • Community Support Groups: Peer-based support groups following models such as Gamblers Anonymous operate in several Bangladeshi cities and can provide a confidential, community-based recovery environment.
  • General Practitioners: Your local GP or family doctor can provide a referral to appropriate specialist services and offer initial guidance on managing compulsive behaviour.

cricks does not endorse any specific external organisation and does not bear responsibility for the services provided by third-party support bodies. However, we strongly encourage any player in difficulty to seek qualified help — the first conversation is always the hardest, and it gets easier from there.

Financial Counselling

If problem gambling has led to financial difficulties — debt, missed payments, or strained household finances — a financial counsellor or debt adviser can help you create a recovery plan. In Bangladesh, several NGOs and microfinance institutions offer free or low-cost financial counselling services to individuals in difficulty. Contact [email protected] and our team can point you in the right direction based on your location.

8. Protecting Young People

If you share a device with younger family members — including children, teenagers, or young adults under 18 — it is important to take steps to ensure they cannot access the cricks platform. cricks implements age verification at registration, but parental controls at the device level provide an important additional layer of protection.

Steps Parents and Guardians Should Take

  • Never share your cricks login credentials with anyone, including family members. Your username and password are personal and must be kept private.
  • Use device-level parental control software to restrict access to gambling websites on shared computers, tablets, and smartphones. Most modern operating systems include built-in parental controls, and dedicated filtering software is widely available.
  • Log out of your cricks account after every session on a shared device. Do not rely on browser autofill to keep your session secure.
  • Avoid saving payment credentials (such as bKash or Nagad wallet details) in your browser on a shared device.
  • Talk openly with young people in your household about gambling — what it is, why it is restricted to adults, and why the 18+ rule exists to protect them.

If You Suspect a Minor Has Accessed cricks

If you believe a person under the age of 18 has accessed or is using a cricks account, please contact our team immediately at [email protected] with the subject "Underage Access Report". We will investigate promptly, close any affected account, and return any funds in accordance with our policies. Early reporting helps us protect young people and ensures the platform remains a safe environment for adult players.

Remember: Responsible gaming starts at home. The most effective protection for young people is a combination of technical controls, open family conversations, and responsible account management habits by adult players on shared devices.
